The Halo Breast Pap Smear is a simple, non-invasive test that can help determine if you are at increased risk for breast cancer, often several years before this can be detected on mammography.
HALO: A New Solution for Breast Cancer Prevention
Since 8 out of 9 women diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history, almost anyone is a candidate for screening. This test can be done in women age 25 and older so can be performed prior to mammography to help detect those women who may develop cancer at an early age. This is a 5 minute test which is often performed at the same time as your annual exam but may be scheduled independently as well.
